Synopsis

In 1971 a military air force event was held. The selected place: Kibon, an iconic spot within Montevideo’s boardwalk. That given Sunday, an anxious crowd awaited, eager to catch sight of the Sikorsky S58 helicopters, expected to handle maneuvers with jeeps all along the coastline.

In a matter of seconds, the quiet, weekend scenario turned into an evil nightmare. Two helicopters crashed against each other, projecting their blades to the audience of thousands, massively hurting many and causing the death of several spectators.

This is the first time a Uruguayan documentary deals with this story, kept in hiding for more than 30 years.
