Synopsis
Carlos Ameglio’s first feature film, LA CASCARA (THE RIND), marks a co-production between Uruguay, Spain and Argentina. He does not hesitate to define it as “comedy-drama that evoques the classic cinema fantastique of the 1940’s”.
The story begins with the death of an advertising creative, while working on an idea for the launch of an anti-cold pill. From then on Pedro, one of his old colleagues, begins an intricate search in order to discover the departed’s idea, taking over his place and making use of his original notes and thoughts.
